Keith McDougald scored eight of his 15 points in overtime to help Jacksonville defeat South Carolina Upstate 57-47 on Thursday night.

The Dolphins (11-4, 5-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) scored the first 12 points in overtime. Ayron Hardy added 15 points for Jacksonville, which has won five of its past six games.

South Carolina Upstate overcame a four-point deficit in the first half with an 11-0 run to lead 20-13 with 4:54 left. The Spartans held the lead until Tevin Galvin put the Dolphins ahead 38-37 with 4:07 to play in regulation.

It was the 23rd straight win for Jacksonville when holding an opponent to 61 points or less.

South Carolina Upstate sent the game into overtime on a 3-pointer by Josh Chavis with 24 seconds remaining.

Torrey Craig scored 12 points for the Spartans (2-14, 1-5), who have lost eight in a row and 10 straight road games.
