Injured Gibson to miss last-place Cavaliers' road trip

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Cleveland guard Daniel Gibson will miss the Cavaliers' five-game road trip because of a sprained left ankle, the team said, adding to the last-place Cavaliers' problems.

Gibson, Cleveland's third-leading scorer and a top defender, injured the ankle in a 120-105 loss to Toronto on Wednesday.

Injured forwards Joey Graham and Leon Powe also will be out for the road trip, which begins on Friday at Golden State, the Cavaliers said on their website (www.nba.com/cavaliers).

Cleveland has struggled since LeBron James left in the off-season to join the Miami Heat.

The Cavaliers (8-27) have the worst record in the NBA with eight consecutive losses. They earlier had a 10-game losing streak before defeating the New York Knicks on December 18, their last win.
