JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – Justin Tubbs scored 21 points and had seven rebounds to lead East Tennessee State to a 72-59 victory over Campbell on Thursday night.
Adam Sollazzo added a career-high 17 points to help the Buccaneers (6-7, 1-1 Atlantic Sun Conference) snap Campbell's five-game winning streak.
ETSU used a 13-2 run that began in the first half and ended on Tubb's 3-pointer with 19:06 left to play in the game to take a 40-30 lead.
Campbell (7-4, 1-1) hit three of its first 16 second-half shots as the Buccaneers extended their margin to 58-41 on Sollazzo's jumper with 8:28 left.
Tubbs was 5 of 9 from the 3-point line as ETSU shot 42.9 percent from beyond the arc (6 of 14).
Isiah Brown scored 13 points and Mike Smith added 10 for ETSU.
Eric Griffin led Campbell with 19 points and 13 rebounds. Junard Hartley scored 15 points and Lorne Merthie added 13 points.
