MIAMI (Reuters) - Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback David Garrard will miss the last game of the regular season with a finger injury, the team said on Wednesday, dealing a blow to a club trying to clinch a spot in the NFL playoffs.
Garrard, who injured his right middle finger in a game against Indianapolis on December 19, is scheduled to have surgery on Thursday the team said on their website (www.jaguars.com).
Former Buffalo Bills quarterback Trent Edwards will start in Garrard's place. Edwards, claimed off waivers in September, completed 14 of 24 passes for 140 yards and two interceptions in one game with Jacksonville this season.
