Ken Horton scored 19 points, including the 1,000th of his career, and Central Connecticut State defeated New Hampshire 71-50 on Wednesday night.

Horton, who also had eight rebounds, became the 33rd player in Blue Devils' history to reach the 1,000-point plateau.

Shemik Thompson chipped in 14 points and Robby Ptacek 10 for Central Connecticut State (6-5).

The Blue Devils led 37-13 at halftime, holding the Wildcats (5-5) to 23.5 percent shooting (4 of 17) in the first 20 minutes.

New Hampshire outrebounded Central Connecticut State 42-38, but struggled to hold on to the ball. The Blue Devils had 21 assists and just 11 turnovers compared to the Wildcats, who turned it over 24 times and had just seven assists.

DeAndray Buckley scored 12 points and Tyrone Conley added 11 for New Hampshire, which had a two-game winning streak snapped.
