Flyers defenseman Chris Pronger will have surgery on his broken right foot and miss four to six weeks.

Pronger will have surgery Friday to repair the broken bone. He was hurt in Philadelphia's 5-3 victory against the Montreal Canadiens on Wednesday night.

The 36-year-old Pronger was injured in the second period. He did not play in the third.

He has four goals and 15 points this season. Pronger was the NHL MVP in 2000 with St. Louis.

Also, Flyers defenseman Matt Walker had hip surgery on Thursday and will miss six to eight weeks.
