Bob Stoops says he has no plans on leaving Oklahoma.

Despite a published report on Saturday by GatorCountry.com that said multiple sources had confirmed Stoops was "finalizing a contract to become Florida's next coach," the rumor appears to be false

When contacting by The Tulsa World via text, Stoops said that the report was "not true, whatsoever" and "I'm out recruiting as we text."

Florida athletic director Jeremy Foley has twice tried to hire Stoops, who served as Florida's defensive coordinator from 1996-1998 before arriving at Oklahoma.

Urban Meyer resigned as Florida's head coach on Wednesday after a 64-15 mark in six seasons in Gainesville.
