Jimmer Fredette had 33 points and nine rebounds to lead No. 18 Brigham Young to an 87-65 win over Arizona on Saturday.
BYU (10-0) jumped out to a 12-4 lead, with Fredette scoring seven points during the run. The Cougars added a 14-0 spurt for a 28-10 cushion with 8:30 remaining in the first half.
Fredette scored the last four points of the half from the free throw line to give him 20 points as BYU went into the break up 44-25, its largest lead to that point.
Arizona (8-2) outscored the Cougars 7-0 midway through the second to trim it to 59-46, but the Wildcats got no closer. BYU responded with a 9-3 run capped by Brandon Davies' jumper and dunk that pushed it back up to 68-49 with 10:19 remaining.
Lamont Jones led Arizona with 20 points. Derrick Williams was the only other Wildcats player in double figures with 13.
Kyle Collinsworth scored 12 points and Davies had 11 for BYU.
