CHICAGO (Reuters) - The Chicago Cubs have decided to stay with interim manager Mike Quade, hiring him to guide the team for the next two seasons, the Cubs said Tuesday.
Quade, 53, and the Cubs reached an agreement on a two-year contract with a club option for the 2013 season, the Cubs said on their website (http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com).
Quade took the interim position on August 23 following the retirement of Lou Piniella. He previously served as Piniella's third base coach.
