Coach Brad Childress confirmed Tuesday that Griffin hurt his right knee against the New York Jets the night before and won't return in 2010. Griffin tore the anterior cruciate ligament in his left knee last January in the NFC championship game and rejoined the Vikings in Week 3.
In just his second game back, Griffin injured the other knee in the third quarter against the Jets. Childress stopped short of confirming he tore the ACL, but said "it's probably headed that way."
The Vikings also played the Jets without rookie cornerback Chris Cook, who is recovering from a torn meniscus in his left knee.
