EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — The New Jersey Nets have traded guard Chris Douglas-Roberts to Milwaukee Bucks for a second-round draft pick in 2012.

The Nets announced the deal on Friday, saying they will receive a pick the Bucks obtained from the Chicago Bulls.

Before making the trade, the Nets picked up the $854,839 option on Douglas-Roberts' contract for next season.

A second-round draft choice by the Nets in 2008, Douglas-Roberts played in 111 games over two seasons, averaging 7.9 points and 2.2 rebounds. He made 38 starts this past season, averaging 9.8 points and 3.0 rebounds.

The former Memphis star fell into disfavor in the second half of the season, partly for being too outspoken.
