FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) — Kyle Wilson has always been confident he would make it to the NFL.
Even when he was trying to beat his two older brothers in any sport they played. And, even when he had trouble getting recruited out of high school.
The New York Jets drafted the former Boise State cornerback with the 29th overall pick Thursday night, excited about pairing him with Darrelle Revis and Antonio Cromartie in an already tough secondary.
Wilson also carries himself with the sort of swagger coach Rex Ryan loves. As a kid, Wilson kept a computer printout over his bed — which still hangs in his family's home in nearby Piscataway — that read: "Pop Warner, high school, college, NFL."
Wilson's now on the fourth step of his big football career plan.
