The race was scheduled for a 3 p.m. ET start, but the precipitation has continued. Drying the track completely takes a minimum of two-and-a-hours, according to ServiceMaster Clean, the company that runs the jet dryers at Sprint Cup races.
Today’s schedule calls for the running of the Samsung Mobile 500 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race, followed by the O’Reilly Auto Parts 300 NASCAR Nationwide Series race tonight. But the weather today is threatening both races.
