Holy Cross has hired Mount St. Mary's coach Milan Brown.

According to sources, a news conference is expected early next week - tentatively set for Tuesday.

Milan, 38, was on campus Wednesday night and Thursday to tour the facilities and meet with the administration.

Brown has spent the past seven seasons at the Mount after replacing legendary coach Jim Phelan and has compiled a 95-120 record. Brown led the program to a 19-15 record and an NCAA tournament appearance in 2008, won 19 games the following season and finished 16-15 this year.

Brown will take over for former Notre Dame assistant Sean Kearney, who was let go by Holy Cross athletic director Dick Regan after just one season.

Kearney replaced veteran Ralph Willard - and Regan made it a priority to find someone with head coaching experience this time around.
