Heisman Trophy-winning running back Reggie Bush will give a deposition next week in response to a civil suit against the former USC star.

Brian Watkins, an attorney who represents Lloyd Lake, told the Los Angeles Times that Michael Michaels would be deposed on April 21 and Bush on April 23 in San Diego. Michael is a would-be sports marketer and Lake's former business partner.

Lake is suing Bush to recover nearly $300,000 in cash and benefits he alleges he provided in 2004 and 2005 while Bush was still in college.

Bush was a subject in the NCAA investigation into USC's athletic program. The school went before the NCAA's infractions committee in February and is awaiting word on possible sanctions.

Michaels has settled with Bush for a sum reportedly between $200,000 and $300,000, the paper reported.

Watkins said Michaels' deposition was delayed by Bush's attorneys, who filed a motion claiming it violated the confidentiality agreement Michaels signed with Bush.
