Rollins scratched from lineup with calf trouble

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Jimmy Rollins was a late scratch for the Philadelphia Phillies' home opener because of a strained right calf.

The All-Star shortstop had already been announced as the leadoff hitter during pregame introductions.

Rollins was injured while he running on the field shortly before the first pitch Monday against Washington. Juan Castro replaced Rollins.

Rollins is off to a fast start, batting .391 (9-for-23) with a .516 on-base percentage for the two-time defending National League champions.
