HOUSTON (AP) — Aaron Brooks scored 10 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter, and Trevor Ariza added 17 in the Houston Rockets' 97-90 win over the Charlotte Bobcats on Friday night.
Luis Scola and Chase Budinger added 12 points each and Ariza delivered eight assists for the Rockets, who've won three in a row.
Gerald Wallace and Boris Diaw scored 18 points apiece for the Bobcats. Leading scorer Stephen Jackson sat out to rest various injuries.
Despite losing, the Bobcats still clinched no worse than the No. 7 spot in the Eastern Conference playoffs after losses by Chicago and Toronto.
