The field for the 250, scheduled to start at 2 p.m. Saturday, was set using last year’s owner point standings, putting Sprint Cup regular Kevin Harvick in the pole spot.

Harvick led both Truck practice sessions at Martinsville Friday. He and Ron Hornaday Jr. were the only drivers to break the 20-second barrier around the half-mile track. Harvick’s top speed was 94.690. Hornaday’s best run was 94.685.

The second practice session of the day was cut in half by rain at 1:35 p.m., and neither the trucks nor Sprint Cup cars returned to the track as showers continued throughout the afternoon.
