BERLIN (Reuters) - The final report into the death of Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili, who crashed on the Vancouver Olympics sliding track in February, will be published in April, the International Luge Federation said.

Kumaritashvili slammed into an exposed steel pillar during his last training run at the Whistler Sliding Center on February 12, hours before the opening ceremony of the Games.

"With regard to the fatal accident..., the final report of the FIL will include the findings of the commissions meetings (Sport and Technical Commission). The meetings of both expert commissions will be held in St. Leonhard near Salzburg on April 9-11, 2010," the FIL said in a statement on Thursday.

"Right after the meetings of the commissions, the FIL Final Report will be published. FIL Secretary General Svein Romstad and Vice President Claire DelNegro (both USA) are in charge of preparing the report," it said.
