PHOENIX (Reuters) - Quarterback Derek Anderson, ditched by the Cleveland Browns, has signed a two-year deal with the Arizona Cardinals, the NFL team said Wednesday.

Cardinals starting quarterback Kurt Warner retired at the end of last season.

Anderson spent five seasons with the Browns but struggled last year, having lost his place to Brady Quinn.

Tall for a quarterback at six feet six inches, Anderson was signed on waivers from the Baltimore Ravens in 2005 and was a Pro Bowl selection two years later.
