PHOENIX (AP) — Ryan Braun and Alcides Escobar each homered during a six-run fifth inning and the Milwaukee Brewers beat the San Francisco Giants 12-1 in a game between split squads Saturday.
Randy Wolf threw two innings of one-hit baseball for the Brewers, who won for the first time in three games this spring.
Chris Capuano, who has not appeared in a major league game since 2007 due to two Tommy John elbow ligament replacement surgeries, struck out the first two batters he faced and finished with two scoreless innings.
Byung-Hyun Kim gave up Braun's towering shot to left to make it 6-1.
Giants starter Kevin Pucetas allowed one hit in three innings with a strikeout. Center fielder Andres Torres doubled and tripled in three at-bats for San Francisco.
