VANCOUVER, British Columbia (AP) — America's summer golden boy is cheering on his winter brethren.
Michael Phelps sat four rows off center ice Thursday for the U.S. men's hockey game against Norway. That was the only thing, however, high profile about the visit from the Olympic swimming great.
Phelps wore a gray painters cap that was pulled down, a gray scarf tucked near his chin. While many wearing red, white and blue around him stood and roared after the Americans' third goal, a seated Phelps applauded politely.
He left with 5½ minutes remaining, just as the US scored to make it 4-1.
