ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Minnesota Wild goalie Niklas Backstrom will be given two days off to rest his sore back.

The Wild recalled goalie Wade Dubielewicz (DOO'-bah-witz) from the minors as insurance behind Josh Harding before Thursday night's game in Denver against the Colorado Avalanche.

The 30-year-old Dubielewicz has an 11-10 record for the AHL Houston Aeros. He has played in 40 career NHL games, including three last season for the Columbus Blue Jackets. The Wild also said right wing Petr Sykora (PEE'-tuhr, sih-KOH'-rah) has cleared unconditional waivers and is no longer under contract.
