Lacrosse Tragedy Strikes University of Virginia

Remembering Yeardley Love

Love played in 48 games in her career at the University of Virginia.  She scored six goals and had one assist, including a career-high four goals in 2009.

This past season Love played in 15 games and made the transition to become primarily a low defender.

Lacrosse Player Suspected in Death

George Huguely, 22, of Chevy Chase, Md., was convicted of second-degree murder in the death of Love. Both Huguely and Love were seniors and star lacrosse players at the University of Virginia.
