    Weird Creatures: A Menagerie of Oddities

    From the rainforests of Borneo to the Australian outback, Nick Baker explorers some of the remotest corners of the Earth every Wednesday at 9PM on Weird Creatures. On last week's premier episode of the third season, Nick flew to Australia just after breeding time for a rare sighting of an extremely endangered fish — the leafy seahorse.     In Episode 2 of Weird Creatures, Nick sets off on Mexico's Highway Number 1, which runs the length of the Baja peninsula. His aim: to track down the mole lizard, also known as the five-toed worm lizard. Somewhere on its evolutionary journey, this lizard lost its rear limbs, leaving it looking like a strange chimera of a snake and a lizard, with a bit of earthworm thrown in for good measure.

    Later this season, we'll see Nick chase down the slow loris. To do so, he travels to the depths of the Bornean jungle to find the only poisonous primate in the world. It looks like a cuddly toy, but it carries a poison that can prove fatal, delivered by its large, powerful teeth.
