Mississippi River Distilling Company, set along the banks of “Old Muddy”, turns Iowa's corn into sippin’-smooth vodka, gin, bourbon and a mysterious ‘artisan spirit’ they’ve dubbed ‘The River Baron’.

Tourist can check out the distilling process and --better yet--get to taste some samples.  If you are after their small-batch bourbon, try to visit in March, but make sure you dress warmly.
