    Just like regular people, these stars were addicted to cigarettes. But through different means of therapy, they fought the urge to smoke and quit the nasty habit - for good

    Recently on The Tonight Show, Jay Leno asked the president if he had quit smoking.  "I did. I did, definitely," Obama replied. "It's out." Obama's physician, Captain Jeffrey Kuhlman, confirmed this in a report following a medical exam at the National Naval Medical Center. Kuhlman said Obama eats a healthy diet and only consumes alcohol in moderation.  The president's previous examination summary listed a “nicotine replacement therapy” as among his medications. Something about seeing those little kids exhale that smoke made me think, 'OK, Whoop, maybe it's time to stop.'"

Turlington said she was 13 when she first lit up - and no one seemed concerned that such a young girl was smoking. She said she used to smoke a pack of cigarettes a day. "After a while I was finding myself far too short of breath for my years," she wrote. "My skin had a sallow complexion, and dullness. My hair and skin smelled all the time and my teeth needed to be cleaned more frequently than usual."  Turlington said she has no desire to return to smoking, and she's given up alcohol as well.
