But finally, after a year of rumors pointing to trouble in paradise, Demi filed for divorce from her reportedly unfaithful husband. And her reasons almost confirm the allegations.
"It is with great sadness and a heavy heart that I have decided to end my six-year marriage to Ashton," Moore said in a statement on Nov. 17.

Courteney Cox and David Arquette
On Oct. 11, 2010 the "Scream" co-stars released a statement saying that they have "agreed to a trial separation that dates back for some time."

But as more and more mistresses came forward, Elin finally threw in the towel and filed for divorce.
The divorce was finalized in August 2010, and the two appeared to have formed a united front for their kids.
"We are sad that our marriage is over and we wish each other the very best for the future," they said in a statement released by Nordegren's law firm. "While we are no longer married, we are the parents of two wonderful children and their happiness has been, and will always be, of paramount importance to both of us."

The two actors each tweeted that they had ended their relationship after five years. Publicists for Carrey and McCarthy confirmed the split.

Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston
Absolutely everyone was shocked by the out-of-the-blue announcement that Brad and Jen were no longer - especially those at Star magazine, who had Jen pregnant with Brad's baby on its cover when their split was announced.
Turns out Pitt had co-star-itis, a common affliction among Hollywood leading men.
Jon and Kate Gosselin
The 'Jon and Kate Plus Eight' reality superstars, whose whole life was based on them being together and raising all of those kids on TV, shocked everyone, and ensured months of tabloid covers when they split amid allegations of cheating.
The reality stars then announced on a June 2009 episode that they were separating, and have since divorced.
The popular show, which featured Jon and Kate raising their eight children, saw its ratings skyrocket during the scandal, but was then was canceled as Jon alleged that the children were not faring well having their every waking minute videotaped.
It was like if the Cunningham family broke up on 'Happy Days' and you had to see Richie and Joanie bawling their eyes out every week.
The Gosselins definitely could have benefited from advice from The Fonz.
Ryan Phillipe and Reese Witherspoon
Ryan and Reese seemed built to last, which is why everyone was floored when Reese filed for divorce in November 2006. Phillippe had a case of co-star-itis as well, with his leading lady, Abbie Cornish. Not exactly fooling around with Angelina Jolie, but Phillippe's not exactly Brad Pitt, either.
Jimmy Kimmel and Sarah Silverman
When the funniest couple in showbiz called it quits, people thought it may be a joke.
Especially since they had both recorded songs and shot videos about sleeping with Ben Affleck and Matt Damon.

Eddie has even since sued 'Life & Style' magazine for saying he was subsequently cheating on LeAnn!
Now that's love.

Luckily for Jessica, there were many more chicken in the sea.
Guy Ritchie and Madonna
While not unexpected, given Madge's track record (13,378,432 guys and counting), their split after eight years of marriage -- and a son together -- caught some off guard.
Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush
It seemed like Kim Kardashian had finally found her Prince Charming in Bush after several frogs, like singer Ray J, who sold her sex tape without her consent.
But alas, it seems nothing lasts in Hollywood, as the 25-year-old NFL super star wasn't ready to commit.
The couple split briefly last year before trying to make it work again. They officially called it quits in March 2010 shortly after Bush won the Super Bowl, but before he had his Heisman taken away from taking money and gifts as a college student athlete at USC.
Mel Gibson and Robyn Moore
The star shocked the public when he left the mother of his seven children for a much younger Russian pop star.
After 29 years of marriage, wife Robyn filed for divorce in April 2009.
In October of 2009, Gibson’s girlfriend, Oksana Grigorieva, gave birth to their daughter.
But as we all know now, that didn't work out so well, either.
Britney Spears and Justin Timberlake
Former Mouseketeers Justin Timberlake and Britney Spears were the cutest, perfectest little pop star couple you could ever dream of, which is why their sudden split in 2002, amid allegations of Britney's infidelity, when we had been told she was a virgin (!), was just too much for anyone to take.
We're still not over it. Get back together you two!
From love and kisses to see ya later.
