In terms have been -- they'd been engineered to be LA yeah having like a Halo 3 hype was -- thing. Pretty big yeah if you you know you if you step back and you look like something like Wii Sports and spin that out there and more homes -- like that that. Pacman back in the day and this game right I think Kate is just about the fastest thing to ever come out in any form of entertainment that -- for games."

" It's certainly has been the advantage of the halo games that look like for like halo is Xbox title. And really just have a critical threshold of number of sales and get simply because -- only -- Xbox users. If you got PlayStation users and got PC users so it instantly have like a big big adventure gunning for the top spot."

" Yeah who has some of these numbers I mean that yet over the over 300 million. But you know we're hearing courses -- already that. Videogames are gonna do we were already hurting courses like the end of the year it would mean it was like August July when traditionally don't have that these big game releases because of post. " It's it's really cool to see that and I think it's most starkly look at the cut scenes because these days there's really little difference to cut seen anything quite. Is that you actually look at the original PlayStation things like Final -- VII the cut scenes look beautiful and get a look at too but there's this huge kind of path between the nowadays it's so -- coaching action that really speaks a lot to house an iMac did -- against themselves that's true I mean you."

" The do the scene with the Russian terrorists in the airport scene right certainly was yeah was shocking it's it's it's kind of unexpected on the feud if you weren't spoiled about what happens and I don't know we spoiler alert people. But come in in the game it's there's that scene where you're trying to kind of proved your terrorists bona -- as an undercover guy within this Russian terrorist group. -- part of proving that your AOK with the terrorist cut involves killing an extraordinary number of innocent people in a very very stark in this manner. And it's kind of something that is almost orchestrate just to create controversy to the feeling but I never really seen anything like this and video game can -- and that means your video game. On the and you know they're getting punters in the obviously wanted to controversy in character -- it's crazy."

" Yeah people ask me about it how you feel about this and I'm sort of torn by because you've got the parental ratings on you know and videogame industry has gone to great -- tried to at least. Make parents aware of the the -- them the rating system and bring parents into the fold. But you know a -- for obvious big -- he got to give her son had no idea this was in the game. Found out only later through news reports such that this was in the game told a month though you know mom would get I get that game out of his system. This is a problem with. The rating system is that a problem with just so the lack of acknowledgment about this type stuff material in the game and look --"

" I've I've never I've never. Played -- video you have look at the box video gamer. It's a new movie trailer where they warn you will include scenes of terrorism you know no big labels things develop -- specificity so I don't know that. The father you're talking about. -- expected to have been forewarned. But what he might have been subject to. Is the expectation that they and wouldn't go there and that's the thing was shopping people is that by the Syrians would have not only -- terrorist massacre. But that you would be able to have you have the opportunity to participate in and if you shows. And that. Would I think surprise any parent and with -- any player if you add them to -- have you. What the game does do though is it warns you when you first booted up that there is gonna be something in the game that's offensive that you might find offensive. We won't penalize you if you skip that you can skip the excellence and you -- it is. So I think there are going to be people we're gonna get through it and there and a well I don't. Want any part of this and I don't -- but I don't think anybody's guess -- because if you press the button like don't know what is your curiosities. Only a matter curiosity like what's the above what's the big deal you wanna you wanna see."

" Russ and -- put your response from regaining perspective what we think this has to say about the rating system back and forth here I mean what's your sense of us. Well you know we've we've had oh a lot of issues around probable concern and parental control across. Or -- media and -- ultimately. It's important to do research. You know clearly. Because like this you are are putting up information about what what can be expected in these kinds of products and inform parents shouldn't forget that --"

" Is it because itself. Regulation. Mean forgive me if I'm wrong but there's no video and it's not federally mandated that they do discredits itself -- only incidentally never violated first it's their -- movies are movies -- either think yeah evidently there's no but it is a standard through which they I -- itself itself standardize -- have to."

" And in general role content industry groups. Implement his rating system and an effort to avoid. Government. Regulation of these kinds of problems -- the same one is that it's it's done in a way that's meant to make you feel sick it's it's doesn't glorify what you're doing and at the end of it isn't panicking and doing what happens but it. You can affiliate that and it does it have a good job of not making it like a fun and it's just gross and you it's meant to make you feel growth and does a good job that. And I think is the reason so shocking is because of what the media when you get it's it's it's in video games so we've been raised or twenty years or thirty here's a video games. If you can't just put it to view them as a product aimed at children. As sort of liquid essentially put a self -- for cartoons they kind of showed that yet just because you thought the media was for kids because they furcal still. And it's I think it's sort of like the Simpsons -- Problem for video games where it's the kind of shows that the medium has grown up and its audience has grown up -- and that can do more than just be a --"

" It's interesting because when we look at -- the movie industry. You know we can have we can you know have fun with Woody Harrelson beating the crap out of the zombies with a baseball bat. And people -- he had ends up being like the winner of the box office the weekend and you could you couldn't. You could not get more violent and disgusting in that sort of experience."

" It is because the insomnia baseball -- three years I didn't like -- I don't belong to protest yet we're doing a little bit of but so basic a good pirated it doesn't feel at all like it's me. To be fun you doesn't feel fun when you play them and the games are degraded and you can't get a much more stringent rating and that they must give the equivalent of the pornographic rating. Four. For and against it to me the ratings seems to signal that there's some tough stuff."

" I had a chance this few weeks you'll sit down with. Super Mario Brothers creator Zelda creator donkey Kong creator Wii Fit. Co creator. Issue here on the amount so from Nintendo this kind of weird title I don't know that he has or a real title that he's he's he's he's there and when you're asked what sort of title he has I don't even know he knows what it is. Control on this very accessible to everybody what can families look forward to this holiday season in Super Mario Brothers -- that. Let's particularly interesting about it game is that with. The multiplayer buckland you can have somebody who is a very experienced Mario player and somebody we'll never played Mario game before a grand time playing -- of the players together. I've experienced player and physically in the game pick up. The less experienced player helped carry them through the level or get them over to believe. From obstacles. To the game is designed in a way that regardless of whether or not you've played a -- game before. You can play together with anybody have a really great time doing it."

It was great about it is I mean I was super addicted. -- it almost from the start and playing it it has an immersive experience being able to play with a group of four people together and be able to beat. " Yeah it's it's a lot of fun it's I mean there's certain something classic about -- side scrolling Mario experience so it it plays really well. It's unfortunate that they haven't made an online unintended and good job with Mario Kart and their smash Brothers and -- respectively they're racing and they're fighting games folder Nintendo characters together. -- on the couch together we don't plan right here. We play online and people can networked together I think it's an expectation on gamers having this game doesn't have that you have to eat together. Took place that way it's funny when you do but it's unfortunate can all look up online it."

" Isn't it because of a limitation of do we itself and I know me a -- himself has said that they pushed the heat the system to its absolute limits in making the Super Mario Brothers game for the -- is it is. It does it just have to do with the console itself."

From a to I don't know how many you gamers you talked to who might be excited for being able to develop on different operating system might that be able utilized. Have you. What sort of area from the media perspective are you hearing about any excitement there and now."

" Not not not really hear much about that mean. You know. When you when you're talking -- your focus more on the application -- already so. The terms of working off the sell less than. I'm not securing -- indie developers are super excited about it but I could I could -- yeah so when we expect in is this true I mean who knows a week from now we could be hearing. Over you know regardless of when it ships and and in terms of native apps in general. I think that there is conflict that who risks setting up with android because they've. They've had these developer tools out there for android and -- same with chrome isn't going to be more -- days so I think it's tough to be. Trying to court developers for android when you're doing something different with your desktop operating system it really fragments. The platform and a way that certainly apple and Microsoft -- trying to move away what."

" Didn't really cool I don't know if they are playing in this does that make it so compatible android and really cool way they can make it so. If you're injured mobile application for whatever reason you wanna run on your desktop it's really east of -- between two. And can you emulate entry in some way to run into programs that's kind of propel. Gimmicks like a really cool and I think. Possibility between your phone and stuff but I don't know if they're doing that."

" Yeah. I think it's adjusting to be able to move I mean as Google is keep wanting to move the quality to bring a great point. You know and even my dad today this -- talk is money -- office says the real soon office saying on. -- why would you wanna live in the cloud why would you -- hands and my dad still doesn't understand that outlook is not. An email client it's an application that aggregates email he thinks that. This is separation in his eyes of people understanding that you guys ran numbers that recently didn't you on this looking at.
