" All and let me just turn if I could do against the we've had -- Ron Pollack is here from families USA he's the executive director. Ron you have lined up against not the health care reform that's being proposed by the Democrats. But against the GOP alternative which is going to be voted on later today why have you bowed and so adamantly lined up against that particular viewpoint what do you -- like --"

" Well there's almost nothing to like about it it doesn't do all things I think that the American public wants. -- public wants protection from insurance companies. They deny coverage to people with preexisting conditions. They charge discriminatory premiums if you've got a health problem or if you're a woman. They put caps and in coverage where there's an annual cap -- a lifetime --"

" They're a whole bunch of these things and the Republican proposal. Protects you against none of these I'm wondering though because when you talk to people when you look at the surveys one of the things that they say that they don't want is they don't want their current health care system that stop. That is the preeminent among among all the feeling of many Americans we've seen protest on capitol this very week about that."

" Well people do want to make sure that they are protected from insurance company abuses. And people are worried that if they lose a job and and we know a lot of people lost their jobs. They don't wanna lose their health coverage if they want to switch jobs they don't want to lose health coverage. And the GOP proposal. Doesn't protect you against any of these things. Now what the democratic proposal does is it not only protects against the insurance company abuses that I described. But if you want to switch jobs you check -- you or you lose a job. You're going to get coverage. For seniors you're going to get protection against that big gap in coverage. I'm not prescription drugs and small businesses are going to get help so they can afford providing coverage for their workers."

" Ron Pollack the executive director -- USA thank you for being so patient here while we worked through the breaking news on Capitol Hill and we greatly appreciate you being on this busy news day. We after."
