" Recap what is happening. Were as we look at the hill today. Democrats are trying to get these forty votes that they need they need to get to two way team. Forty votes or rather critical the issue of abortion it's become quite the stumbling block here. And as it stands now it is not absolutely certain that the Democrats have the votes they need to pass this measure. Although democratic leaders have said that they feel very confident that when the vote comes perhaps later tonight. That the votes will be there. But very very critical to that is a debate that's going on the floor throughout the day about the issue of abortion and whether federal dollars should be used to fund. Abortions. As you know that has always been a controversial issue in the United States House of Representatives. And no less so today. If that measure passes. Then it -- believe that a great number of sort of moderate Democrats could then get on board with the idea of this health care reform bill. And and we have left right now -- congressman Joe Wilson from South Carolina who's standing by congressman. We may have to break out of this -- the president comes out I know you understand but tell me very quickly what are you hearing on the floor today about the status of this legislation."

" Well it's really up to the blue dogs are -- gonna be independent or they going to be lap dogs and take directions from speaker Pelosi today is to be the crucial day people find out. Persons who say -- blue dogs are they really -- or are they left office."
