It will take the Marines and their gear including helicopters and planes and right humvees and tanks to wherever they need to go -- you know -- would have governor. Not an old navy got a guy in the prime of his life Sharon used to certainly shifted a different here and give us the respective on the ship we're on."

" Well my grandfather was -- commander of the carriers in the Pacific in World War II my father was a submarine commander and later. Commander in chief in the Pacific during the Vietnam war in my family's military service goes all the way back to that. Revolutionary war and I'm especially proud to have a son in the marine corps and now. One who is in pilot training right now in the United States navy."

" Hey what's life like on the -- senator you know we. By the steam Gretchen and myself but more of your board cruise ships -- I have not had a lot of -- the the -- What is it like being in his -- day out a little bit about these men and women there's so pumped up to do what. Well I'm sure that that Marines -- we'll tell you it's exactly like a cruise ship there's plenty of time around the swimming."

" Advances every evening. Actually it actually. It's improved alive they they didn't pay a lot of attention in the all volunteer force to. As much as we can so make sure that we give the men and women who are serving in the military. The best food the best equipment the best training and they are the best in the world and there's nobody that matches up to them. And that obviously. The New York gives an example of the new technology. And the new capabilities that are required to combat the new kind of war war and and so. I'm I'm really grateful. " Well it is our pleasure to do just that. And you mentioned the wars we're fighting in particular let's talk a little bit about what's going on in Afghanistan. Senator regarding the troop surge. We'd like to know what that number is we'd like great general Stanley rehearsal he would like it to be a big number. In your estimation of the delay in not naming that means why. To the men and women over there."

" Well. I -- I can only echo the sentiments. That word express do when you talk this panel. Love retired military officers earlier in the show I'm disappointed that we haven't made the decision the fact is we already have men and women over there. And them longer we delay in sending them the needed resources they need for greater danger area and and that's just. -- fundamental fact of warfare and so I I'm I'm past. Being a bit angry I'm just very disappointed tonight and I hope the president will make the right decisions soon. And believe me I also want to emphasize half measures won't work."

" Well let's let's take another interesting that you say that that has allowed people refer to that it commitment. Light -- and yesterday our own intrepid reporter Major Garrett. Caught up David Axelrod one of the key adviser to President Obama and here's what this dead about the president's decision on Afghanistan."

" I think that you know that the troops that he ordered in March I just now. Completing. Their arrival and and that is the next troops are -- would not did you there until the spring and summer and and he has time to make this decision and do and in the thoughtful way."

" Well I appreciate it position at the wrong. When I appreciate mr. Axelrod said talents I don't know what his credentials time. Military deployments are but the fact is every day delay will be another day before they get there and that's good. That's just an indisputable facts so. The other thing is aspect of it is a signal we sent to our allies. -- this delay in the signal we sent to our enemies as to whether will be steadfast the other countries over there. If we leave the neighborhood they have to stay in the neighborhood and accommodate so. I just hope the president will make the right decisions and I intend to support him when he got us."

" Yeah in the seventh in the eleventh that's when he says he'll make it. That's senator I know how much military means to you and your family and so at these gentlemen and these ladies and decide to come out and support Art Shell. " We depend on -- the world depends on them these are very dangerous times and I'm so proud to know that we have the best.
