" I hate. Here's how are you thank and I mean those. I had a candidate who has -- that's not want to fit outlines what they're thinking about."

" Here."

" I want somebody you're able to -- today and I don't know how long I have he has so cute now you've got me as long as it is okay -- about clarity of a fun night for about fifteen minutes. So I'm just I'm so glad to have you here in -- in as many people who watch Fox News now Michael on I used to. Go up against each other all the time during the election and we always had such a good time and I really loved talking to you about things because. Contrary to a lot of the coverage that you get from a lot of stupid people. You're actually extremely thoughtful and very smart and you know a lot of great ideas. When I used the -- Me all the time spokesman. I got a tiger by the tail. I'm itself I just want to see get from your thoughts on a lot of different things that are happening in particular. I'm higher feeling about the mid term elections that I know us up holiday thing you might have an eighty. C Washington Post poll and saying that some Democrats are in the generic match up our besting the Republicans. And also. -- the whole I want sack dance that was coming out for their -- on the generic match up there was that the the Democrats are doing better which I frankly I was a little bit surprised by itself."

" It it I I take all of that with a grain of salt as -- should in this job because every day the polls change. That on the generic ballot that we -- down mine just want me beginning of the year I think that gap is now somewhere between four and five maybe six points yes they went 39. How would you know which is it the gap -- a lot closer than 5139. That's the Washington Post and so that you I give that very little credence because I know how they do their polling. But there -- the but the reality of it is the gap is much narrower for Republicans are on the generic ballot. When I look at the races that we've got coming up in a couple weeks Houston in Virginia and New Jersey. I feel good cautiously good but good and and the reality is. That we've been able to work candidates and identify candidates and translate in you and I've talked about this before. You know that that the challenge for political parties in this new political environment. As the earth moves beneath our feet is having candidates who can keep -- moved and -- in New Jersey with Chris -- in Virginia with. -- With rob McDonnell Bob McDonnell we are doing very well in keeping up. Now what that means of Election Day you'll find out two weeks from tonight. But I feel good about where we are right now. And you've what would be your prediction I and I product -- make -- prediction on what would you predict permanent turns. I would for the mid term that's a very good question I -- that's still in a lot of flux right now. Will there be some pick -- Republicans gather some vulnerable blue dogs out there there's some vulnerable. You know left the Senate Democrats out there. But we've got some vulnerabilities through that we've got to shore up and we've got some open seats we've got some opportunity to challenge -- we still haven't gotten candidates fielded. So right now it's a 5050 crapshoot I think for both parties quite honestly I don't think that the president's -- Has translated effectively for the Democratic Party. And -- I don't think it is absolutely translated effectively put the for the Republicans yet. We still in both cases have to develop our own you know candidate. Abilities to get out there and connect. Issue oriented. Conversations that draw people into the into the debate. And then have something to put out there and that's where you're you're seeing the dance of health -- you're gonna see you don't cap and trade again you're going to see it on card check. Immigration these issues and begin to really shape I think the direction of the 30 elections. Four for both."

" Parties and I mean -- this. The Washington Post polling but did you have but -- there was appalling today about the public -- showing similar to the New York Times poll that the majority. Of a healthy majority of Americans -- the public -- and it doesn't even higher when you say it's just an arrow public option that's just for people who are unemployed."

" Well though Linda I'm glad you put it that way because I wanna address that where it what I try to kill health care reform at any cost. What we're trying to do is to slow the train down so we can do a comprehensive look. Assessment of what -- what we actually she'd be doing in health care. Kissing you and I know that you don't need a thirteen hundred bill that all page bill overhauls the entire health care system. To deal with cost containment issues to deal with portability the deal -- small business schools you don't need that. If you know I find it ironic that on the one hand. The president tells the country. We need to slow down on Afghanistan take our time to see what happened -- how this unfolds. But don't help Kerry was to get it done in thirty days he wants that they won seven of the economy and we do more than seven in thirty days. Let's slow down here too because there -- a lot of moving pieces is not just about insurance. It's about it's about access to the quality health care that people have come to appreciate. The cost of that health care. Who paced Houston how much do they pay these -- conversations that the American people still haven't gotten satisfactory answers on. It's a while the Washington imposed in the New York Times. Can show 51% of the American people want a government run health care. I've been out on the street enough to know that's not exactly where it is. -- government run health care first off. -- people not everybody having government guy yeah everything starts small for a small group of people just as they told us when they passed the Wal-Mart bill in Maryland. That was only going to affected companies with employees of 10000 or more. The next legislative session the legislature to move that number from 10000 to a thousand employees or more. And then it went that he had some proposing fifty employees or more so what may start off with a small universe of people who going to be covered by government health -- Suddenly encapsulates you -- our families particularly those who don't need it don't want it so with the slippery slope one is to be very careful before we get on it."

" Why I like it this lovers' club gigabyte support a single Payer system. -- as if I think the president. Diet -- your right to help I had that problem and I pity you and I think -- I think people are right when they say Obama supports that and that that you know what most Liberal Democrats support that I think a lot of -- nearly 9/11 Democrats. Because I -- think -- battle that they had I don't think the average American I mean I don't know Obama. They think that I just think because he's very smart really -- and he in my face that I could not."

" But look how quick do you just as she sat here and owned up hey this is why I -- this is my bottom on a bike if I could write the legislation this is a little -- me. Yeah president -- turned that power over -- Nancy closely in his griping about the products he's producing and makes no sense to me she's producing what you want."

" I mean -- to be said about the White House -- in the not trying to kind of leadership they need to show -- to -- lawfully on the public option I think the I think I've known from the beginning that they are willing to give adopt I don't. I think that they just wanna get something on the they can politically -- they did coming. But -- your point that you're saying that that people feel that things are moving too quickly. It's interesting also there was I think this was also a Washington Post and you might agree with this one note 56%. Of people are unhappy with the pace of congress I read that I thought they must think they're going to -- And it says actually. Within that 56%. 63%. Said -- and happiness comes from congress moving too fast. Yeah and a candidate that I think a lot of people actually share the concern that you just said again I don't share that concern and I wish that they would just push it through and used reconciliation and -- Don. I know that and rages everybody who's watching us but you know that's why I am but I do think that. That I guess the American people agreeing more with what you're saying that they think that they're trying to take on too much too fast."

" but the reality evidence Pearson is dangerous consequences to what you just describe your wanting them to do. There's -- consequence to my family is the consequence of my business as a consequence of my community. And that's not been appropriately event that we do have members of congress it on -- cell fall -- constituents asking them questions and a town hall meeting. We're checking their ID before they can ask a question or bragging that they're not going to read the bill. That -- that lend itself to --"

" Any activity you know that I mean -- well yep these idiots are voting at the Hollywood comedians yeah. Yeah -- for the Iraq War they were idiots I mean when they do offer some things so I."

" then maybe maybe maybe this time maybe this one time we talk. About 17 of our economy we can stop letting the idiots run this -- I."

" I don't think even the idiots are running things I mean that the idiot and I don't think that that I think idiots are running things that I don't -- to be able do you think any -- I think -- the smart people are running things because I think that. You know I think that that people have studied health care for a long time. -- and I think that that and I and and I hate and I don't Republicans get angry when I think this but it's. You know he doesn't power for a long time and you never talked about health -- ever hope and just you know -- how -- how -- in the -- and you know what ever -- like really taking it on. You know I think Democrats have been the leaders on this -- I think that they have really studied -- and I think that that. The way yeah is the right way to go I don't think going quickly as bad in that situation I think it's a lot of scare tactics are."

" I -- I appreciate -- you're giving the intellectual. I got black gonna go after a barrel -- But let let me just step back a little bit from that that that Bobble head open and this -- with -- and try to focus on the fact that two things one. Both parties have screwed around with this issue to put it very bluntly they have talked a good game and delivered virtually nothing. It could've happened Bill Clinton tried it in the 1990s and we know what happened therefore what ever reason."
