Where Are the Jobs?

Where are the jobs. The president promised that if we pass that trillion dollar stimulus plan. Back in February of that unemployment would not exceed 8% and here we are almost 10%. Three million Americans have lost their jobs since this trillion dollar stimulus bill was signed into law. And when you look at their bill muzzled by growing the size of government. That wasn't much created jobs in America. But I have created about 45000 new jobs in the federal government. -- later -- Washington and what the one -- say to the American people know what they say it would have been a lot worse without the stimulus what is your view on that what did you deal what the president said yesterday. We are moving in the right direction he was in Fairfax Virginia making that statement. About the economy are we moving in the right direction. While most Americans. I don't think agree -- Because they're the ones asking me where are the jobs. Because not just those 10% of Americans. Who are unemployed. That's the official statistic when you begin to look at those who've given up looking for work. Other real unemployment rate was probably thirteen or 14%. And then you've got to the other 85% of Americans are worried about in my next. I -- so instead of a growing the size of government. Republicans had a plan last February. That's all I don't know what though the the White House is going to suggest. But if it's another stimulus plan -- look like the one they did a back in February. I don't think it's gonna work. You know -- ask you guys in that case got a bigger mission that the first one didn't work that's interesting you mention small businesses that this is what I hear from small business owners all across the country. There -- looking at administration's plans and trying to figure out what's in it for them what's in it to help small businesses that employ the greater majority of people in America today. But you're the minority party right now. In many ways -- fight for oxygen down. And how can Republicans move the ball for when it comes either tax relief for finding help or relief for small business owners of America. Well right your billion write in all they've got a forty vote majority here in my house that got one vote majority in the Senate. Republicans. Really don't have the tools to legislate. Probably don't have as we have our voices. And our job is to communicate with the American people. About what's happening in her Washington. What it means to them their family their business their community and try to engage them in our in our effort. I'm the American people are speaking very loudly. Bill life to run a small business I know what it takes to meet a payroll. And all the uncertainty that's out there in the current economy and the uncertainty. Around their national energy tax there uncertainty. Around that the government take or health care is causing employers to just sit on their hands. Because they don't know what the next shoe to drop is going to be and so. Not only are we not doing anything to help small businesses create jobs. Work great in this uncertainty.
