" Your producers are really looking forward to Christmas present their holiday light time is right around the corner for the gridlock and the rest of the United States. There's a city that -- miles of both stocked with lights and tinsel trees even singing Santa has but. It's not here in the United States it is in China just two hours from Shanghai. But this year retailers in the west start placing fewer orders. And that means slower sales in China's Christmas town -- was returned from visit there we've been talking with -- all week and he's joining us live once again from Americans. " But it you know it's you have entire cities in China that you once and will makes hawks. He who specializes in in Christmas goods. And it's about two hours train right outside of Shanghai is as you mentioned we went to the wonks Christmas factory in and agree to some pictures of that where they. They do everything from those Christmas trees and you're looking at two. Bubbles and bells and -- for your trees and you know more than just -- interesting to look at how these guys do business meeting it is really a window on the how American retailers think that our Christmas is going to be. Because -- the orders for all of the goods for Christmas trees and all the stuff goes in about in July and August and September they're telling us it is about 50%. Down from last year's -- expecting a very grim Christmas not only in the wants Christmas tree factory but for some of the big American retailers there. And end. Also. And the factory is running about on two thirds speed and as you go through the market being. A small commodities market in the world take a look at -- empty hallways and -- that is incredible each one of those stores is not a retail store its wholesale store represents. Two or three factories in China and they say they it. Just trying to survive this year and in this Santa Claus. Retail store for instance the wholesale store. They're saying that the orders are down about 30% in China so very very serious for the Chinese economy and any. A window on what we're gonna have been in the December and January."

" Sally what percentage do you think I don't mean you don't understand what percentage would RRR. I mean -- of the Christmas lights -- we -- all over the place what percentage would that be. Would be from China."

" Big percentage I don't know the exact number but I mean for instance something like 75% of the toys we buy. During the Christmas here come from China so I mean you could. But that's a law someone 5% while these people gonna do about this -- this Iraq you know centered on this this particular niche industry. What they did so -- and sent home and a lot of them are migrant workers that come from all over China to work for -- 150 dollars a month they're going back to rural China now 800 million people have been ruled China a lot of them are being sent back that's a big concern for the Chinese Government and social stability in the long term you have to really."

" Just in reports this week thanks very -- us appetite. Made in China you can see it every Christmas -- I saw this report where Chinese Government has to create. Tens of millions of jobs every year just to keep up with the unemployed I -- it with third with a population boom. And given jobs and keep the employment number at a regional level. That's enormously since 800 million come from the rural areas and so much of those folks they're literally migrant workers going back home again. Fascinating stuff Dana thanks for that hey mister."
