" We'll -- other women talking about here on fox for a couple of years and it's getting more sophisticated here in the Phoenix area what -- drop houses very simply. -- a place that the human smugglers bring their cargo. They drop them off here. And in those people are dead after generally a ransom is paid are farmed out to other areas of the country so for example -- brings -- 530 people. The governor Phoenix only a 150 miles or so from the Mexican border they come to a house like the one here behind me in this neighborhood. The people are kept there until relatives on this side of the border than pay more money generally. And then that person who's been paid for we put into a car and taken to a spot where we'll be given away back to their relatives so it's an area John basically that. People are brought to be formed back out illegally -- Actually they if they hide these places pretty well obviously out of the authorities figure out which houses are drop house. While I mean look we're -- right now -- neighborhood built for five years ago the homes here considered upper middle class -- this area new neighborhood. New shopping -- the house behind me with a drop house -- what happened was. The people across the street sort of -- of the kind of funny people going in and out late at night called authorities at the same time someone inside escaped and called 911. Police -- what do you wanna one together -- came here raided a house and discover what was inside. I imagine that can't do a lot for property values the neighbors must -- up pretty upset when they find these kinds of things. Yeah I mean it's surprising everybody involved on -- what perhaps -- was happening here in the Phoenix area is because of the economy because there's so many homes in foreclosure and a lot of rentals that are open. There -- a lot of decent neighborhoods nice neighborhoods in fact. Where homes are for sale are for rent and what -- these guys -- they give some money they turn into a drop house knowing they're gonna get caught at some point. But they say just -- of -- you can't catch them necessarily but for a couple of months the cargo comes in I mean. It happens late at night generally the house is decorated its kept up nice to maybe neighbors don't realize -- they think it's somebody who works late hours. But they bring the cars -- at midnight or so the garage door opened the car pulls -- the garage door closes. And and and human cargo is taken out and held inside and not allowed to go outside and also.
