With some of the world's leaders and while it appears the president's personal popularity is still higher around the globe the question for today is. Will that translate into support of his policies. The future he's got a lot of stuff on his agenda now and sometimes went with popularity does not always go action."

" Yeah I think what he's finding out more than anything right now is that his popularity the one thing that he's he's very good -- being -- has been you know popular. Here and abroad. Doesn't really get them much of anything. And we saw that especially last week with the decision to dismantle. That the missile defense shield. Is it that you you had calls from -- two of our very closest allies. In the in the world. Saying that that we had sold them out. And what. What are you gonna get in in you know in response to that from from people like you know from places like Russia or or Iran. You know a lot of people are very doubtful he's gonna get anything out of him for doing now."

" But did he make the point that there's never been in the in the indication really that the missiles shield thing would even work. And in addition he said we've got a better plan -- what we said our goal was -- that was to protect us from Iran. And he said here's a better plan it doesn't cost as much money will be up and shorter period of time and -- detractors make it sound as if he just told Europe did you know. Go get -- itself."

" Yeah yeah absolutely but it -- the other thing to remember is -- you remember when when Ronald Reagan first came up with the idea yeah I do and it was just that an idea. -- and and everyone made fun of -- about the Star Wars and all these things but you know thirty years later we've made a lot of advancements in missile technology. In its with the ability to intercept. I don't lot of these missiles -- we look at the patriot missile batteries which are. Obviously lower there's still there the other things and targeted today. And they're lower tech versions of this other things that we do have and so. You your you obviously your point is that is a very good what but but it but that the people in the Czech Republic and Poland certainly feel done wrong."

" What what what what what are we hoping to accomplish and I just figure at this point. And to explain to me something that would make Israelis budge on settlements with the Palestinians but that is I don't see if they did this just seems like an exercise in futility."

" If there's a reason not to run for president it's that there is no easy answer to that and and you know. You know obviously we always remain hopeful that that there's something that somebody. Trips upon some. Way of figuring out how to you know disarm that that. Potentially ticking time bomb. But and who knows but we do. There is no evidence that that being both you know nice to both sides and being you know just sort of trying to it to be. You know a popular guy in the middle. Gets anything done so whoever does come up with a solution probably is going to come up with some pretty harsh medicine for both sides and and is gonna force them. Dictated to get together and resolve these issues."
