A doctor -- I'm interested in knowing why somebody who's killed somebody who's been diagnosed. As a schizophrenic and who has escaped before by the way would -- how -- go on the field trip. "

" Well what I think we have to think about is this is a hospital this is not a prison. And the idea of a hospital is that you are reading this person for discharge. And probably the most sensible way of doing that kids to do it gradually to let them out a little bit at a time and see how they do. You don't want a court order to suddenly come down to release this person and they haven't been off the hospital grounds and twenty years of having been in the world. But what if that's done correctly then you can give of privileges if that does more polite and -- you can give them a little more privileges. You can pull it back you can even conditionally released -- which happens with many many of this type of person's country."

Indicates that somebody dropped the ball at the hospital -- significantly -- the ball at night I'm a huge supporter of transition. -- USA and our policy and procedures believe in it that this is set us all back. I am I've talked with officials at city department of health and social services just this morning. And doctor -- office -- secretary deficit is conducting a comprehensive. -- search of all of the policies of the three hospitals and they have found already. That all are different so we're hoping. Thank god wouldn't we think no one was hurt. But this might turn out to be a wonderful wonderful thing for Washington stake."

" Making it it could be but let's keep in mind that this guy murdered an elderly woman. And is diagnosed as a schizophrenic so doctor Conrail asking -- it I'll ask you I'll ask you again that. That if he was never going to be released what was the point of the field trip. But hot why do we think he's never going to be released. Insanity laws or rather clear that there is supposed to be an effort to get someone ready for discharge. And if you look at the record that at least as presented in the media on this man he's already been place unconditional release wants. He was living in apartment he was pulled back for a nonviolent actor we would have heard about it. So to say that he's never going to be released -- people like this are placed particularly on collect conditional release all the time. All right well that's a scary reality for -- lot of us to take and that's scary and it. Well they're not selling as we look at prison funding and what's happening especially in the state of California.
