" If if if we have to choose between the -- obviously. It is more likely than not there will be people somewhere. In the Fort Worth of the Republican Party groups but when you are aren't Oklahoma running problems -- saying things like. The Patriot Act is an institution. The government have to respect your right -- the war. If you -- because we didn't we want the stimulus stimulus programs are unconstitutional. Government can't be. General -- the government can't give money to the -- park and many Republicans voted for these. And it is the Patriot Act. Virtually all of them -- Ron Paul does so in the house when -- How are those arguments that not the rank and file while the leadership of the Republican Party you know."

" The leadership of the Republican party of home or anywhere else for that matter don't want -- They know that they're responsible for those things and they're gonna have to answer for but the rank and file folks are standing up against it in -- The people that go and vote in the primary the people that know what's going on in the people that maybe heretofore haven't know what's going on that are waking up and going to keep parties and going to town hall meeting. -- those folks are are up to. Here with that type of behavior and they feel betrayed by the Republican Party -- in that people like -- myself and -- hall and leadership. Medical care -- Ron -- if we can't build a vessel -- no one can we can't change the complexion of this Republican Party. Then it might be time to to let -- we're gonna give it one more call."

" Brought -- chatting with RJ Harrison -- constitutional conservative Republican and in Canada and the united for the Republican nomination. The congress and Oklahoma's fourth district what kind of issues do you argue about it what is your opposition. First is your opposition and incumbent Republican member of congress and second one of the weak spots in that person's voting record in going after."

" Yes we are challenging incumbent Republican bailout voter II think of them as -- area progressive big government Republican that's what his voting record that is. And he voted for the boy actually voted for the stimulus package in 2008 when it was the bush. We'll -- stimulus package. -- let the world around town -- who didn't ever vote for things that but he did vote for that when they came around did vote for the bail out the talk both of them. He's voted for are insulated through incremental socialism is unlikely it is possible for -- for about. He voted for that he voted for inflating it through. Through involuntary servitude for Obama's yet that he's voted with heatley to give -- taxpayer dollars to. Foreign governments that the the vehicle -- Nate he's voted to keep the federal government involved in our education system. All these things -- constitutional -- one. And and and his voting in his is liberty and -- rating -- it is a paltry 50%. So when Michael Brown -- to the folks in the district and I have a little campaign leaflet that points all this out and sites at all and show people where they can find it for themselves. Not only the -- it is biggest teacup -- they begin to realize right -- and -- that it."

" Does a a a candidate like you. Who preaches a state within the constitution. Honor natural rights an -- of the free market message stand a chance against an incumbent. Republican was the party machinery behind it as you oppose this person and Republican primary well I think."

" We -- where you -- there's really two campaigns that are going and there's that there's -- for their campaign to retake the port district from this this bailout voting progressive Republican. And and we're being well received everywhere we go before this but there's also the campaign to re take that. And we're seeing that get legs all over the place there's."

" Don't tell me about. Some of the areas in the country where -- and isn't -- you just hear me talk about Ron -- I was within this weekend. And obviously -- Texas in the area Texas. Anywhere presents and you're a little north there Oklahoma. But are there other pockets of resistance are there other areas throughout the country where individuals and groups and organizations. Commenting serious campaigns. To take back the constitution."

" Yes -- there it's happening all over the country we saw in in law effective in -- even in a very liberal state liberal district that the that the Ron -- Republicans if you will were able to retake the the county party there. We we see. All kinds of a feud going on in states like. And talking. In in in Nebraska and Montana where they they passed the law saying that they were -- going to honoree positive -- the effect and then. That level Oklahoma -- they are. Attempting to get through its defense of the tenth amendment and and that -- bill Texas sorry -- this is happening all over the country. And people are people are stepping up to be counted and there's liberty candidates that are coming out of the woodwork and trying to represent the people from the grass roots -- And there are two there are two places that you confine this you know if folks are interested to find out where the liberty candidates are in their area. They can -- they go to retake congress dot com or they can go to. Mindful candidate dot -- And those two those two places -- kind of acting like the village green with a -- street. Of the militia to go out there and fight this this battle against -- and it gets the establishment. And if folks want to find out who the candidates in their area. Or the goings on in -- here so they get behind them I would suggest go to the candidates and read and then -- off to those those web site. And find out who's got the message. That day that resonate --"

" We chatted -- RG Harrison's constitutional conservative Republicans running for congress. From the state of Oklahoma and joining us now as well as Michael can often -- Michael is of course a renowned expert. On among other things health care Michael -- very much our conversation yesterday on the one -- program what the limitations of time. There was some other things that I wanted to do -- chat with you about that we didn't have a chance to chat about. I appreciate you joining us here on freedom watch right before it came into the studio to do -- was that. Fox Business Network and that was about the goal line up pop cap and civilians. The secretary of health and human services -- obviously it took her. First in the course of my colleague -- bucks coach Stewart Martin's interview of her. She made an argument that I felt was really -- she -- inventory to persuade Stewart. And threw him his audience. That the single Payer option. Basically providing Medicare for people under 65 -- you so nicely -- yesterday. Will actually enhance. Prop -- competition. That would provide insurance companies to compete against government. Can you make the argument that that is it possible that no one can successfully compete against the government especially in health care."

" Well. This -- been the the left wing -- for a couple of years now that they want to create a new government program but they're not gonna take over health insurance. They're just gonna offer them. Competitor in the marketplace and if private insurance does vetted it better than people will choose that if the government program does better people choose the government program. The problem is that you cannot you cannot have a level playing field between the government and private insurance. And I'll give you one just irrefutable example of why of why the government will always have a special advantage pleased because it. If the government creates its own program and everyone is going to believe everyone's gonna know that if the premiums are insufficient to cover claims and the congress will bail out that program. And even if congress says swears up and down no we're not gonna do that we're not gonna bail out this that the government plan it's gonna have to. Sink or swim on its own no one will believe congress when they say that. And so no matter what congress says everyone will believe that that implicit bailout guarantee will be there and that will save the government program money. In ways that private insurers can't. -- the government will be able to get. For example. They'll have an easier time borrowing money he'll get better rates because everyone though the bankers will believe that the government program will be able to draw on the federal treasury when it needs to that's exactly what happened with Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. And I. The ads and Larry Summers is one of Obama's economic advisers signed off on a report in the Clinton during the Clinton administration where he said. That Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac -- six billion dollars per year on borrowing and other costs. And it doesn't matter if it doesn't matter how much that supporters of what I call Fanny -- Say that we're gonna have a level playing field everyone's gonna believe -- that bailout guarantee will be there and that it's going to tilt the playing field for the government program. --"

" You campaign around the fourth district in Oklahoma -- people understand. The arguments that Michael just need people understand. If the federal government makes Medicare either available or mandatory for people under 65. It will be it economic impossibility. Or private insurance to survive in that environment and to compete against them or. People want their -- we -- know nothing spree but do people want their freebie from the Pentagon."

" For the most part that the this -- support that we know exactly what this blue -- do. But but what I don't see happening enough is the debate and talk about the constitution. If we read the different pieces of the constitution put together we can we haven't answered even the modern day if issues of the day. And I don't hear. Very strong debate coming out of the Republican camp talking about will listen folks. It's not a matter whether we should do with this layer that way -- this way. The discussion needs to be about article one section eight where it states that congress can tax us to -- or that the general welfare of yours to keep race. All of the United States. -- not mean out of the state of Oklahoma no where in the constitution anywhere as saying that the congress can pay for the individual."

" Michael I can't does that even make the constitutional argument does anybody seriously statement constitutional argument today or have we gotten to a point. Where congress. And members of congress in both houses and in both parties think that they can basically an act any law that they want. The constitution be damned or that's the supreme court's problem well let them worry about it a couple of years if someone and that makes it there."

" Well we at the Cato Institute argued that the constitution created a federal government. Enumerated. And therefore limited. Delegated enumerated airport limited powers and so there's a lot that congress is doing that is -- clearly unconstitutional but you know what. If you -- the Capitol Hill and you try to tell them what they're doing is unconstitutional. They're just not -- so the constitution. May not be perfect but it's better than what we've got. But let me tell you let me give you one example of an area where that where the congress needs to be doing more in order to not less. In order to adhere to the constitution. Article one section -- has that clause about regulating commerce between the state right now the reason that clause exists -- terror down trade barriers that states what Iraq. To goods and services from others."

" Just north interactive wanna interrupt you right here -- I fully agree with you it doesn't go to Oxford English dictionary look up of -- regularly. In certain incentives. Meant to keep regular to make sure that there. Commerce between the states that directly at the time the date -- matter because the circumstances under which the -- made. But just to make sure that the states don't stop and goods from going to one state from one state to them not that I have --"

" The reason. And the reason that the reason that states erect those barriers to trade -- to protect their domestic industries and that's exactly what's happening. Happening with health insurance right now and that's exactly why tens of millions of Americans don't have health insurance. Because state governments are protecting their domestic health insurance industries from competition by more efficient insurers. And so if congress -- to this exercise of power under article one section eight. To tear down those trade barriers what you would be in everyone else's country by insurance health insurance across state lines. We would have more affordable insurance and fewer uninsured Americans and it wouldn't cost the taxpayers a dime. But instead of doing that congress is -- instead of doing something constitutional like that congress is off doing all the -- other ounces unconstitutional thing."

" Let me -- the problem that we have in New Jersey which -- wearing them. In New Jersey there's only one insurance policy and you can buy you can buy -- from a variety of different New Jersey. -- based companies but it's ball Rolls Royce a policies. The state regulators have said the only policy you can -- in the enlisted in the Jersey. Have to have this business -- this and many of this is things that many of us don't."

" and in some cases biologically. -- never use. Case. -- Forming might call the insurance carriers -- in the states were basically deregulated. That you want anybody else and -- your state. Would be able to find somewhere on the free market. Insurance policy tailor made for our needs one that we can afford because -- what would -- the infrastructure product. And by the --"

" Absolutely state governments require people to buy all sorts of different types of coverage that they don't need or want. This there's states require not practicing devout Catholics to buy coverage for. In vitro fertilization and contraception things that they might find -- that states require. -- total hours to buy coverage for alcoholism and drug abuse treatment and -- and even require people to have to buy coverage for services at a later proved harmful. So the stakes are not very good at making these sorts of decisions they increase the cost of health insurance along the way and leave a lot of people without any health insurance at all. So the idea of letting people purchase insurance from across state lines is look. You know what you've got all these regulations and in our state but I think they're really driving up the cost of care the cost of health insurance. We could I would much rather buy -- health insurance policy. That meets my needs that doesn't have all that insurance that I don't know all -- all that coverage that I don't want and actually allows -- to put health insurance within my reach. --"
