" Lot of -- one of the big issues that people are talking about what the whole health care reform is the issue of patient privacy. People are afraid I I must confess I am I don't want the government to have all kinds of information about everything in my life including my health records. And the reason that's an important topic is because -- Had her privacy violated in one of the most just obscene ways people got into her patient records and -- them. To the tabloids. And that's unconscionable to me that someone would do that -- person she's already suffering from cancer and then they violator even more. By leaking that out to to tabloid press who put out all kinds of hideous things about it."

" is a horrifying thing to her I mean she couldn't understand. Why is she would go to the doctor she would have to test. In three days later it would be in the inquirer I mean it. And I -- to -- I think it has to be coming out. The hospital you know because they all have access to your files and married somebody working there. And so she went to the doctor she had a -- she didn't tell anyone not me not any 13 days later sure enough there it was on the front pages. And eventually they started an investigation they did not find someone working there who -- accessing her private medical records. And selling them to this capital items and it was -- this horrible. And because of her and her fight against this because she was fighting cancer remember. But -- was a fighter and she fought against this too and because of that laws were changed in California about --"

" They've obviously been one of the things it comes -- in the book is her really her courage her sense of fight. There's a lot of old Texas girl unfair they really comes through and I -- are Texans. And -- CD image of the Alamo coming out in the book with both. But the paparazzi and we've just been looking at some scenes over -- conversation here. Chasing her down. It would juice coming in and out of a hospital. Just did not giving her any sense of dignity and some space -- had to have been very difficult for her."

" It was time it was terrible I tell the story in the book that she told me I wasn't there but she combing up right after what she was coming out. And UCLA and down in the basement where they were trying to -- to get her to her car. And there was an issue of -- with a bunch of paparazzi and video cameras and everything she just come out and radiation and and they had. -- her down she was very weak she went over to the car and she said what are you doing does this make you feel good. And -- she'd actually. Tried to grab the camera away from the guy in -- she couldn't get the camera she punched him in the -- I said -- what if this guy sushi when she said I don't care just let -- solo woman coming out every hasten her. Just spit fire that I -- you go girl."

" It's I think it's disturbing to all of us to see that people were not giving her treatment as a human being -- mean she's a celebrity she's. Cultural icon we -- all those things but she is a human being. She is someone's daughter she is someone's mother. And and the fact that she was given that kind of disrespect this this just something I hope nobody else has to endure. And I think one of the things your book does is to point out the very human side of a celebrity and so many times people forget that. Thank you very much. For sharing this story in this magnificent book my journey with -- and and I hope people who want an honest assessment of what it must be like to be on the other side of the celebrity life.
