The Right 'Change'?

" Well they say they -- change and they got it in a 170 days President Obama has spent hundreds of billions of dollars in bailouts to the auto and financial industries. Not to mention the 787. Billion dollar stimulus package. That doesn't appear to be working thus far. And Obama's approval rating now fallen significantly since last week's dismal job report. This wasn't the kind of change our next guest voted for. We're joined by Eric -- Bailey McClain and Jason Olson went interesting panel to have this morning so all three of you voting. For President Obama last November."

" You believe team yes we can Eric you picked apart and inside I guess I love you."

" I'm speaking in Times Square to the audience that I wasn't saying that I voted for Obama I would vote for him again."

" Was not a popular opinion to have -- dividing Iraq hello the actress who said some really nasty things about the people who go to the key parties well not you not Republicans. When you're a Democrat and you adults and again but why -- that he -- I'm very disturbed that and and it's not because of my appearances on this network that if I ever have a point of view that questions."

" What the Democrats are doing -- that terrible. Terrible guy."

" I get taken out in the press just wondering I think what we're spending a lot of money when not reading bills nobody read that they'll -- a -- ST DC. Last week on the air that. I'm actually reading it now it's taken me two weeks three but I get the details in the bill how many people in congress."

" Read that cap and trade bill before they vote on -- a lot of money everybody should read it we should all be informed."

" I'm responding too much for can't afford it the math doesn't mark -- small business owner if you voted for Barack Obama and did you say look he's bailing out the big companies deemed too big to -- about what about me."

" I think that small businesses need more money directly should be coming through the government should come to us directly we employ more people we create more jobs. And I think the whole world is changing where we need to be more flexible innovative. To develop new industries for everybody and so I am concerned that there's not enough money coming to the people that are really. Making America what it is -- that sounds like John McCain's stump speech. He was an advocate for the small business owner. Did you like what he said electorate Barack Obama's I thought John McCain was just saying what needed to be said to get votes I'm gonna be honest about that but I think Barack Obama's very smart and he's trying to do the best he can't. The only thing is he feels it has to be done through government and I think there should be more about government private partnership. And the private sector needs something more directly Jayson got in here because you're the independent voice by -- to independents. Made Barack Obama presidential you've changed your tune. Well I access it would vote for Obama today."

" I mean here's -- here's where I think I have the most concern is that you know pop up I ninety million to independence in America legislate -- voted for Obama. We voted for change but we didn't do so to become Democrats -- those independents because we thought it was the best course of the country. I think the concerns I have now are not so much that related to Obama but what -- the Democrats in congress can add to the spending bill. To pay -- special interest and and and you know the party power brokers basically right suspend."

" Ending is what you all do not like and we've seen that result -- now in the poll numbers stick around please because lots of talk about that second stimulus. There are talks about a second stimulus package now but can afford to go there and is that a good idea we're back with Eric Albert -- so Barnum Bailey McClain and Jason. Olson -- to -- the discussing in the break. That you say let's just hold our horses here a little bit and see if the first stimulus plan works by yet only 10% of that money has gone into the -- and you don't want a second stimulus plan well I know I just don't understand the first 11. It's a lot of money we're talking about major money and it violates our money which is -- everybody should be interested."

" And that's who -- discussing while only 10% of the -- even gotten where it's supposed to go."

" Reality -- one that's how the how long it takes what's gonna take pot for all to come into the system but what's the rush to spend more money."

" That's -- we know if it were the first time because I think a lot of people what they can. I don't know I'm not so sure this is a good idea and it's going to be -- bad one to judge in retrospect if it's not and Jason you would know."

" You've been laid off twice in just the last year you are looking for employment may be the last thing that you think is good ideas to spend more taxpayer dollars."

" Well I don't know I mean it I think everybody's crystal balls kind of broken right now it's very difficult to tell I think this is maybe once in a hundred year economic cycle that we're in. And what I'm looking for -- leadership. Certainly I don't see much coming out the Republican Party don't -- much commanded Democrats in congress. The person I really -- any leadership whatsoever right now Barack Obama. Of course that concerns and questions about what's going on but what you know. Somebody's got to do something remember after leadership the last eight years or that maybe in the last twelve or sixteen years. What are we gonna do but your vote for stimulus two would be. I I think it again it did devil's always in the details of its -- it's something that. Face it Barack Obama gets up there -- says look I'm gonna do this because it can be best of the country's gonna generate jobs not about the next election in. Re electing Democrats and -- of course and a supportive I'm not to support anything it's about political patronage here or paying off you know special interest."

" Meet its opponent and I would hold on -- secular second stimulus because really feel the problem with the first stimulus is -- opposite I think the money isn't passing through and we need to refer. Reform pop rock -- so that the money can get to people quickly and I think that's the problem before we spend anymore money. And not see what's coming out of the first pot of money so that's what I would like to see because of a small business owner we're not getting you're not -- any of that and I hit it we're being told that you can get technical assistance that doesn't pay the bills I'm being told that I have to get a bridge -- to -- went out but when a grant which I did when a grant. And then Milbank it's gonna give me a bridge loss of their flaking get a reimbursement. For the award I want that's a very bad system might not just give me the award directly -- take care business move things along employ people get things done. Acting that is the problem is the bureaucracy and its. Really kind of tiered because each state does it differently right that they should be something up across the fourth that can help people more quickly thank you very much to the panel Eric let me know when you've finished reading the cap and trade.
