" thank you and and I appreciate I appreciate your time. What's wrong with the president's proposals. Doctor reward to manage health care. From Washington DC."

" Well I think the number of them probably the biggest one that all forms of socialized medicine hand up and that's really what -- the socialized medicine. Is that it creates long waiting lines. And in in essence create health care rationing especially for the elderly. What happened in -- for example if you need to die out there can balance the quick that the light -- could be here. You're over 65 you only have a one and treat cancer getting. And in Canada you could wait a few years for cardiac bypass that's why we get so many Canadians. Coming across the border. Because they will literally die waiting for -- life saving procedure otherwise."

" What what what do you I agree with everything you're saying you make of course -- arguments arguments and it's beyond me. How the government can have blinders on -- not look north to Canada across the ocean. To Great Britain or even -- France. Where take sixteen months to get elective surgery. But what do you say to the argument hole how else -- gonna help forty million Americans. Veteran ensured that the government doesn't help them these people are either too poorer or two on why is. To get their own health insurance."

" Click the read and people don't have health insurance and because the cost so much but most people don't realize ballot cost that much. Government has interfered with health care now for about the last eight years. In fact in the pharmaceutical firm where you know I work you do a lot of that had a lot of knowledge. 85%. Of the price that we pay in the pharmacy for a new drugs -- either regulation. Regulation that currently that that that -- And so it's totally unnecessary if we get rid of excess regulation. We reduce the cost of health care overnight. Probably by 80% so we repeat the -- that much. Almost everybody could -- it."

" Is there any reason. Doctor rumored that it. Health insurance. Can't be a competitive service. Just like cars or legal services or hamburgers at McDonald's. Where it's offered by a variety of entities. And you have a variety of choices somebody might wanna buy -- Rolls Royce of health insurance coverage. Someone else might wanna -- the Volkswagen of health insurance. Coverage why is it that we don't have that kind of choice as Americans today."

" Mostly it's because of the state regulations. On health insurance. Mandates. That you have to have. Certain policy that some people don't want because there isn't a range of possibilities. There's only like a 11 -- get all usually at the Cadillac which only can afford I know I lived in Kentucky. There was a problem there because that's -- I'm Luka the only -- health and cured by the time my lack. A few years later there was only one. The health and -- being put out of business because they cannot offer. Different plans for different people and so if you usually only one. That their -- and different horrible because why would we all want to get the same -- and you look at some of them would be. I think -- have -- following not you know and -- we have different needs that you know early light. You don't need things like him you know chronic heat treatment so -- but he surely do need you help her pregnancy and other types of things that -- might have as a young family and Clinton could get older you don't need the pregnancy club security now pod for example. But you may need to have more treatment the -- compete so you know different kind I like even lead to a country."

The -- the private health insurers because let's face you can't really compete with the government. When it has a bottomless pit with which to subsidize. Its patrons and that bottomless pit it's called. Tax dollars."

" Well that's why it did something even worse than that that happened in Canada Canadians -- not in many provinces. Get the thirtieth and that they need for example we were talking about cardiac bypass they cannot go and get it privately and -- in Canada. Say they have to actually come to the United States another country to get it because it forbidden by law. Where they procedures that are covered by universal health care in Canada."

" Going to stop you here how how is that a government of politicians or bureaucrats are both. Could prohibit a perfectly valid. Life saving medical procedure. Which is beyond the competence. Of price of a politicians and bureaucrats to comprehend."

" Well they think they can. You know that there's there's been gone up for the Obama administration enacted -- what the -- State and a group has has drawn up where they have -- a list of what could he can back -- on the contract and acceptable I mean their ranking them by numbers at the number is behind that you can still get that treatment."

" how could the Canadian people permit their government. To prohibit a procedure that in America is so common. You know the numbers better than I I'm sure it saves tens of thousands of lives every year and today they can do without even cutting openly yet. The -- today they can do it -- Europe walking in two days."

" Well that's right MNN Portland and Canada. It's just the way it did people don't know that's the problem you know I know because I'm in the medical profession so I understand when the back -- me. He did nothing to do you do have to go home -- diet I hear that from a relative I usually know what that's true -- but most people don't. And it's only if they investigate a little further. And called a friend the United States actually do -- that they might find out that it's possible to get it here."

" It is is this a problem that is impossible for us to get her way out I -- in order to undo the mess that we're in now. Wouldn't one have to change the laws not only of the federal government portable fifty states I lived in the most over taxed. Over regulated state in the union I know there's a couple of states that plane -- but New Jersey. Really is the most over regulated. Over taxed state -- union where as you've indicated. Afterward in insurance carriers are required to offer. Even to people like me procedures that I cordon. Possibly. Biologically. By virtue of my age or gender or lifestyle. Have need for so here here here's the question. Don't we have to change 51 sets of laws the federal laws and the laws -- all -- states in order to bring us to a true free market."

" Clean that you know one of the things that our founders considered. With putting an end up putting as part of the developed right -- the constitution. -- plank and medical freedom which would allow people to buy the -- they want without restriction. From the government if we had something like that in place it may actually. Wipe out not only the federal laws that prohibit competition but if they want as well."

" What is the advice that you give. To so many of our viewers. Who say to me particularly on this fourth of July 8 time in our lives when. We used to celebrate freedom. And now we just seem to be talking about the government is doing this the government is doing that. What do you say to all those good folks that email me and some of my colleagues here every day. And ask. What can I do. What can I do to -- claim freedom for me my spouse. My family my town my state."

" the thing that everyone can't you get involved and depending on your talents and interests. -- involvement may look very different from person to person and you know I do a lot of writing and speaking. I have a lot of -- run the libertarian candidate. Now for some people that might not either way maybe they'd like the path out -- for the candidate of their choice. You may be they would like to pocket their -- can then -- affected that you educate yourself and have -- that they can -- your -- it's incredible. Comic -- can change their attitude change the world because. People listen to people that -- now. So there's many many things that everybody has got to finding it difficult for everybody but that's exciting you because again if the marketplace at work. You know we eat -- the marketplace position that we want in fighting for freedom -- we have to get involved and that attack. Because that is why -- regulators have been able to do the same that they didn't. -- that bad people -- sometimes they think -- doing well but that's why we educate ourselves. That we can educate them and want everybody understands that these -- hurt everybody. -- and then painful change."
