National Women Build Week

But despite having a busy career Trisha yearwood still finds time to take part in charity that is very close or hard volunteering for habitat for humanity."

" And she joins us live from Tulsa Oklahoma where she's helping kick off national women build week a nationwide program taking place this week your Mother's Day. Good morning -- and I love the fact that you're doing this for women to get involved is well let me see all the people working behind you there."

" Yes good morning this is really -- right Heidi this is habitat for humanity use. Teamed up -- was his underwriting this women national women build week. And we're just trying to encourage women to get out and and do this it's one of those things that I think. You know this. That women think -- maybe I don't know that I can't do this may -- I can't on how to do this and it's some it's been really awesome this is I've done several houses now and you know I -- hustling -- knew how to do simple things before I went and did my very first build them and they teach you what you need to know and this week in particular. Would -- Bob speaking ability and you guys and you can learn your skill before you get out there on a work site they'd they'd do workshops in teaching how to do the basic things so. It's a bass -- is that it's not just for women -- encouraging men to come but we really want to make sure women know that this is something good to do and we want to encourage as many women as the candy get out."

" Sure and there are going to be a 175 to 200 habitat for humanity construction sites. Across the country in all fifty states -- and you've figured out. What you're going to because the construction workers behind you are going to hang on every word from Trisha yearwood and she's built -- house. But if you figured out what you're going to yell when you hit your thumb with a hammer."

" Well probably not probably never know because you can't I think. Did the that they first -- what it was a new violence and I. I've I've built my first set by my first wall and -- it was on the ground in so I spent a lot of times. But most of the day bent in half a swing a hammer this way you're not in the day. I was blistered and I could barely stand up straight and says you sleep good night pressure around and I I probably hit my thumb a couple of times. You know I'm I'm -- good old southern Georgia -- I learned to keep those feelings like I keep great expletives in my head I don't save enough."
