He talked about having I think diverse friends -- good -- And almost need a break how how do you bring people together because you know that the truth is is that people have drawn the line in the sand and and it's mean people and it's it's there's a lot of anonymity a lot of common ground and nobody's talking well I think you --"

" the pocket not just talk the talk now along those lines when I talk about bringing people together here in my administration. And I in my cabinet -- I'm appointed. Democrats and independents along with Republicans. Wanting to get the best of the best in every department in order to best serve. The people whom we are accountable to people of Alaska so. Yeah I'll walk the walk there and then in my own family also. And with it very diverse views that are represented in from the individual and our family. We're not tolerate each other we're not frightened and and have an ugly debates with healthy debate about issues about policies there to walk and that -- in reaching out. Talking hearing. Learning from others who have different positions and then finding that common ground. I think doesn't my family know that I'm. Pretty -- committed to that their positions that that I have taken in and that I I stand on today's but. No need it'd be screaming at each other over and over that the beliefs that we have I'm here again in family in my administration. There's always a way to find some kind of common ground. And learn from each other and then progressed from there there always -- a way as they went -- different position and it consisted of maybe should rethink so they think -- here. And nothing so. Fundamental are monumental that I would have regretted it's a change of position you know. They're Democrats that campaigned. And they can't page prepare speeches and candid some of them. And I know that oftentimes it that people would say that you were you going -- was aiming that you would did do your -- thing to that we managed. And it that management of my trying. The message it. I have nothing to complain about that there were very good people involved in all of the -- and very experienced and in very sharp. I would have preferred more opportunity to speak to the media more often. Because it isn't there were a lot of things that I think could've should've sent the could it would help John McCain I have such great admiration for him I honor him I love him I believe that he is. That the best leader that we have in the nation right now stealth -- is John McCain. And I would have liked to have had more opportunity. To be. Out there -- speaking on his behalf of the attributes that. That he has because he's so humble he doesn't do them himself he he did not I believe have it and take enough opportunity. And that's just the week -- key is though he's too humble take the opportunity. To let people know. The challenges that he has overcome his ability to face adversity and overcome challenges. Total like more opportunity to have done that for him."

Pretty much put your career your reputation your record your family you put everything in their hands. That that's kind of the scary thing for someone might use someone like me who quite Independent and quite. I'm self determined and confident in our own abilities to do things ourselves and doing right. It right after that you know that that that was a little shifted gears for me that I had to make. -- in order to trust people who. Understandably. Kind of tough at the beginning because I didn't know who they work but. As days went I could see now there are some very bright people here there were. There -- some good people who knew what they were doing and down were well equipped and certainly word is is doing all that they could to sincerely help John McCain and towards victory so. As days went on it it was good it was fine but. And dean quite Independent just like John McCain is also. Yeah maybe there's some character it characterizing of me going -- when wants to while I would say somethin' that. I sent from my heart I've I've believed. In going off script once in awhile and one of the rallies in order to. Really reiterate perhaps something that I believed about John McCain made it wasn't written in the script but so what Jesus it's all gonna be so scripted and and down. You know kinda like a movie screen it -- and in and we have to follow. Verbatim everything that somebody writes for I don't want any part of that that's thats not who I am and that's not. I'm John McCain is either so. You know -- if I went off script wants a while I can't for the life of me remember anyone timer would have harmed him -- the ticket so. I don't regret it. Be remiss for the -- 2012. You know what's going to happen to -- if we're gonna have a 2012. We are going to have a team does well I don't know it was going to be a part of it you know I. I have faith is a very big part of my life and putting. Putting my -- life in. You know to -- in agreed to capacity but in the meantime the state of Alaska has so much to offer. This nation terms of national security and economic prosperity because we are the wealthiest. State in the nation in terms of our natural resources. We have. Within this largest state in the union we have. Every resource that our country needs in order to be more self determined and more self sufficient instead -- relying on foreign sources of energy and -- last cassettes we just need to be able to prove that up here we can do things are right ethically responsibly. We can develop more appear we can contribute more to the US is going to be. When wind between our state and the lower 48 states.
