If you love chocolate covered strawberries but are looking for some healthy options you are going to love this layered ‘chocolate covered strawberry’ smoothie recipe from Graze. 

Ingredients

The chocolate layer:

  • 1 frozen banana
  • 1 cup almond milk (any milk option will work)
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons of Nutella
  • 1 cup of ice cubes or frozen strawberries
  • Optional: handful of dark chocolate chips

The strawberry layer:

  • 1 cup fresh raspberries and/or strawberries
  • ½ cup frozen unsweetened raspberries
  • 1 cup frozen unsweetened strawberries
  • ½ cup almond milk
  • ½ cup plain 2% reduced-fat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup fresh raspberries and/or strawberries

Preparation

The chocolate layer:

Put all of the ingredients into a blender and mix on high. Keep blending until there are no chunks and you have a semi-thick smoothie. Pour the smoothie into the bottom half of a glass and place into the freezer while you work on the top layer.

The strawberry layer:

Rinse out the leftover chocolate smoothie from the blender. Put all of the strawberry layer ingredients into the blender and mix until smooth. Take the smoothie out of the freezer and put a layer of granola on top (we suggest our new chocolate cherry protein topper!). Pour the strawberry layer over the chocolate layer and granola.
