Boston landmark Legal Seafoods may have divided loyalties now that the restaurant has locations in New York City, but the restaurant still brewed up a cocktail worthy of its Boston roots to celebrate the Patriots next shot at the NFL championship, available at the Legal Harborside location. To top things off, Legal Seafood's Assistant Director of Bar Operations and the creator of this iconic drink, Kara Kukull, pours the mix into a muscle mug to remind people of the nigh-mythic power of the drink's namesake. As befits a drink named after a man married to Gisele Bundchen, it's a looker in the glass, with the complex herbal sweetness of Drambuie combines with the punch of Irish whiskey and citrusy pilsner for a refreshing dram that'll keep things buzzing long past halftime.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 Ounce John L. Sullivan Irish Whiskey
  • 3/4 Ounce Drambuie
  • 2 Ounce Lammsbrau Organic Pilsner
  • 2 Ounce Sprite
  • 2 Ounce Lemonade
  • 1/2 Dropper Bittermen’s Boston Bittahs

Preparation

Pour the first five ingredients into a mug (preferably a muscle mug) filled to the brim with ice. Then stir gently with a bar spoon to combine. Top it off with the bitters (substitute Angostura if you can't find Bittahs) and raise you glass to the man of the hour, or at least his wife.
