Grammy Award-winning country music star Alan Jackson is trying to offload his lakefront home in Clarkesville, Ga., for $6.4 million.

Sitting on 1.2 acres of land in a gated community, the 7,687-square-foot home has five bedrooms and six-and-a-half bathrooms, according to a listing with Harry Norman Realtors that went online earlier this month.

The home’s open floor plan affords large space for social gatherings, with a family room, dining area and a lakeside screened porch with fireplace wrapping around a professionally equipped kitchen.

Outdoors, there is a terrace with another family room and a bar and game area, a flagstone patio with firepit, and a two-story boathouse with swim dock, according to the listing.

Mr. Jackson, 58, was inducted in the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum this April. He won Grammy Awards in 2002 with “Where Were You (When the World Stopped Turning)” and in 2011 for “As She’s Walking Away.” His hit songs include “Chasin’ That Neon Rainbow”(1990), “When Somebody Loves You” (2000) and “Angels and Alcohol” (2015).

He has owned the property under a trust named after his business manager, Debbie Doebler, public records show. Listing agent Julie Barnett confirmed his ownership.

He bought the property in 2014 for an undisclosed amount.

“Mr. Jackson did major renovations to the house, including opening up the great room, updating the kitchen, putting in a fireplace on the porch and redesigning the landscape,” Ms. Barnett said.

“The floor-to-ceiling windows offers spectacular views of sunsets, boats on Lake Burton and Appalachian mountains,” she added.

Mr. Jackson was not immediately available to comment.
