Seattle Seahawks coach Pete Carroll scored a touchdown with a sweet piece of investment property in Manhattan Beach, CA. He recently sold his beach cottage for $2,050,000, topping the asking price of $2 million by $50,000, according to the Los Angeles Times.
The beach house hit the market in August and closed in about two weeks. It was advertised as being move-in ready or an immediate rental income generator. The 1,200-square-foot home has a partial ocean view from the second floor, two bedrooms (one with wood paneling), a galley-style kitchen, living room, and brick patio.
The coach reportedly bought the 1930s-era home in 1999 for $540,000 and had offered the place for rent at $4,500 a month before listing it last month. Within walking distance of the beach and downtown, the quaint house offered an oceanfront opportunity too nice to linger on the market for long.
Carroll, 64, has won two NFC championships and one Super Bowl since joining the Seahawks as head coach in 2010. He previously had an amazing nine-year run as the head coach of the USC Trojans, winning two national titles and four Rose Bowls.
