Revered writer Judy Blume is selling her getaway in Key West, FL. It's hard to believe, but the mother of seminal coming-of-age novels such as "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret," is now 78.

Her 1958 pad received coverage from Architectural Digest in 2012, when she and her husband, George Cooper, unveiled a stunning renovation spearheaded by renowned landscape designer Raymond Jungles. "I'm a houseaholic," she told the publication. "I love to create a new nest."

For $4.25 million, you can make the author's nest your own. The five-bedroom, four-bath, 3,500-square foot abode is "one of the finest mid-century modern residences in Key West," per the listing description.

It's hard to argue the point: The one-story property includes terrazzo floors, walls of windows, and indoor-outdoor living spaces set around a 45-foot-long pool and lush plantings.

The open floor plan features a living room, dining room, and a kitchen with breakfast area that opens to a covered patio. The master bedroom includes access to the pool as well as an unreal outdoor shower and private garden. A separate guest house rounds out this perfect vacation retreat.

Blume might have been inspired by the '50s vibe of the home for her art. Her latest best seller, " In the Unlikely Event," is set in the Eisenhower era.
