The possibly immortal Keith Richards has a slice of Manhattan skyline under his thumb, but he's willing to part with it for $12.23 million. The iconic Rolling Stones guitarist and his wife, model Patti Hansen, are selling their penthouse duplex in the towering art deco apartment building at One Fifth Avenue.
The couple bought the place in 2014, which means they're parting with the four-bedroom pad after only two years. Was it just a case of not always getting what you want? Maybe, or perhaps they'll just make a boatload of cash off the deal -- they purchased the place for $10.5 million, according to Variety.
Renovated in 2011, the penthouse gleams with a clean, contemporary look. The main level stretches 47 feet across and has three shrub-lined terraces. A sliding wall can open up the en suite guest bedroom to the rest of the main floor or it could close it off if you want to spend the night together with someone.
New York City isn't where the couple spend most of their time. Richards, 72, and Hansen, 60, have lived for over 25 years in the wealthy and woodsy town of Weston, CT. Known for his debauched ways, the guitar legend was recently in the news thanks to a story about how he threatened to knife fight current presidential candidate Donald Trump back in 1989.
